POWER STATION FINDER / EVIDENCE REGISTER
Reviewed 1 November 2026. We keep published reference values, our modelling choices and unverified defaults separate. A source link supports only the field it is attached to.
The calculator reads the same central register shown here. Our main UK appliance reference is the Centre for Sustainable Energy. It cannot validate every device variant, charging event or motor start. Manufacturer specifications and your own appliance measurements are needed for those.
The current catalogue uses source-checked UK station specifications. Archived demo fixtures are kept separate. Product specifications are manufacturer declarations, not our own measurements.
Prefer actual appliance labels or measurements. Charger output ratings do not tell us Wh per charge. For fridges, annual energy and compressor startup are different quantities. A PC power-supply rating is not its measured demand.

Phone energy is estimated as the number of phones × full-charge equivalents per phone per day × backup hours ÷ 24 × watt-hours per full charge. One phone charged fully once per day over 48 hours therefore uses two full-charge equivalents. A daily half-battery top-up can be entered as 0.5 charges per day.
The timeframe scales the expected number of charges proportionally; it does not assume a phone charges continuously or round up to whole charging events. We then apply the same usable-battery and conversion-loss allowances as for other devices. Charging wattage is checked separately against simultaneous output requirements.
Our current energy-per-charge presets are provisional assumptions, shown in the field evidence above. Actual phone batteries and charging losses vary. Charging is modelled through an AC adaptor; direct USB charging is not separately modelled.
Prototype usable battery allowance, not a measured universal station specification. Assumption, not a universal specification.
Prototype AC conversion allowance; not validated by load/model. Device charger losses and inverter idle load are not separately modelled. Assumption, not a universal specification.
Editorial output headroom policy, not a certified safety factor. Assumption, not a universal specification.
energy: Continuous: W × hours. Scheduled: W × hours/day × duration/24. Cycling: W × duty fraction × duration. Charging: Wh/charge × charges/day × duration/24.
losses: Nominal capacity = delivered Wh / (usable fraction × conversion efficiency). Do not apply losses twice. Idle draw is omitted.
output: All selected loads are assumed concurrent. Apply configured headroom to continuous W and combined startup W.
tiers: Filter technical estimates first. Budget = lowest internal synthetic price; Best Value = lowest synthetic price/Wh among remaining; Premium = highest remaining capacity. These are demo sorting rules, not review scores.
runtime: Capacity × usable fraction × efficiency / average delivered W. Repeating usage assumption; whole-hour rounding is a display convention, not accuracy.
The general power/time relationship is supported by CSE. Our daily usage, loss factors, concurrent-start rule and tier ordering are our own choices.

Checked 2026-11-01 · Reviewed July 2026Indicative ratings; selected LED lamp reference.
Publisher describes indicative high ratings, not universal consumption. Router value differs from CSE; neither is a universal average. Charger maximum output is not Wh per charge.
Checked 2026-11-01 · Publication/review date not establishedModel-specific energy labels and product information sheets.
Guidance is not a downloadable catalogue of all products; GB and NI rules differ. It does not supply fridge startup W.
Checked 2026-11-01 · Updated 8 April 2026Interpretation of television kWh/1000h and refrigerator annual kWh.
Energy-label consumption is model/test-condition specific; do not infer startup demand from annual energy.
Checked 2026-11-01 · Publication/review date not establishedManufacturer-declared UK base-unit capacity and AC output.
Not independently measured runtime. UK page lists two AC ports; Europe support page lists three. Exact regional SKU must be resolved before enabling offers. Prices and availability were not imported.
Checked 2026-11-01 · Publication/review date not establishedCross-check of base capacity, continuous and instantaneous output.
Regional port-count conflict with UK page. Standby conditions are insufficiently specified for a universal idle-loss correction.
Checked 2026-11-01 · Updated 10 July 2026One example of model-specific phone battery capacity.
mAh is not Wh without voltage; battery energy is not wall charging energy. Does not validate 30 Wh per foldable charge or the assumption that foldables always use more than standard phones.
